Yes. Holly can run on full auto-pilot, resolving call-offs and swaps the moment they come in, or she can keep a manager in the loop for final approval. You determine how much control you still want to have.
How does Holly manage PTO requests?
Staff and admins can submit PTO requests directly to Holly by text or email— there’s no separate portal or app needed. She tracks every request against your org's PTO policies (accrual rules, blackout dates, coverage requirements, etc.) and approves or denies accordingly. Prefer to keep a human in the loop? Holly will notify the right manager or admin when a new request comes in and hand off the final call to them. Either way, she logs the decision, updates the schedule, and makes sure coverage never slips.
How does Holly learn our scheduling rules and preferences?
You chat with Holly and give her any context you think is important. She turns that context into rules and applies them from day one. Beyond what you tell her directly, Holly also learns from what you upload: employee handbooks, past schedules, payroll data. She spots patterns, picks up on unspoken norms, and gets sharper with every schedule she builds.
Can we give Holly custom rules specific to our organization?
Yes, you can create a rule for anything and Holly will follow it every time. Examples: 1. Sally must work at least 5 shifts a week. 2. No one should be scheduled on Tuesdays from 2-3 PM. 3. RN-to-patient ratio can't drop below 1:4 on the ICU floor.
Can Holly track employee licenses, certifications, and flag upcoming expirations?
Yes, Holly can track licenses and certifications for staff. Just tell her what credentials are needed and she will store than information and track expiration dates to proactively remind when any renewals are due. When something's coming due, she reminds the staff member directly on a cadence you set (e.g., 60, 30, and 7 days out). Staff can text her a photo of the updated document and she'll log it. And because Holly won't schedule anyone whose credentials have lapsed, compliance is enforced automatically.
